Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) is a rare inherited neuromuscular condition, of which there are several distinct types. The condition may affect crawling and walking ability, arm, hand, head and neck movement, breathing and swallowing.

I have SMA type 2. I use an electric wheelchair for mobility and I rely on 24hr care for my every day living. Despite this I work full time and I'm proud to be a Mummy to a beautiful little girl.

It is vital that we spread  awareness of SMA and the amazing work SMASupportUK are doing to support families and find a cure.
  
Me and my little girl love to do fun things and we are  bursting with excitement to do Run or Dye for SMASupportUK in Southampton on the 18th of October. I'm not sure the clean up of my wheelchair will be so much fun tho :)
