Story

Hey you!

Firstly, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page! I know with the limited time we have these days even getting a free moment to visit charity pages is an effort so please note we appreciate your efforts in doing so!

As many of you who already know me, know that I'm no stranger to activities, especially when it means I can raise some money for charities- my dream would be to be able to work hands on for those in desperate need of our help regardless of their age, background, race gender or whether they are humans or animals. It's our duty to care for all and I've taken it as a personal responsibility to do what I can with everyone's support to at least do something quarterly.

So, this brings me to why my mother and I ended up putting our hands up for a whopping 10K! (for those of you old enough to remember target 10,000...think of this as that very aim!)

We casually attended an event which was co-organised by one of my very close friends...I won't name drop but she shares my name lol! Mother and I were sat with my younger sibling listening to a talk that has just finished and we knew the next segment was the charity bit, at this moment several people actually left the room- trust me it happens! no blame on them at all, because the person who then proceeded to tell us the story of these amazing young girls who have hopes and dreams of even being educated to achieve something in their lifetime, stated that the reason we were in that room on that day at that precise time, was because we were selected to be involved (if we chose to be) and we were chosen to listen to what he was about to go fourth and explain...

It is extremely difficult to appreciate fully what war-torn children go through unless you have family there going through it or are unfortunate enough to be going through it yourselves. These very young girls in Jerusalem, have no parents, no means and certainly no access to provisions including the minimum of a roof over their heads. We are approaching cold months here in the U.K and I know for a fact many heaters have started going on! Imagine for a second that you are alone, have no one to turn to, nothing to eat and the bare minimum on your back to keep you warm at night and on top of that your dreams of having an education to enable you to work or go further in the future are just that- dreams...it is an extremely sad thought, but thoughts won't give these girls what they need. They are in desperate need of our help they are in need of a home, love, warmth and all things any human wants in this world- most of all to make their dreams of having a 'normal' life come true.

The girls and I would be eminently grateful and love it very much if you could do my mother and I the honour of donating whatever you feel comfortable with to this very needy cause. Be part of something amazing, be part of the process that will enable these children to achieve their dreams, to be loved and cared for and provided for. Poverty is humanity problem and has no colour or creed. Please help us help them in every way we can today.

On an extremely personal note- many of you who know me well, know precisely how much love I have for children and pets, my mother shares this with me and the videos shown to us on the day moved us; particularly including my little brother aged only 9...I couldn't bare thinking of him being in that situation let alone any other child. God tests us in many ways and I'm currently not in a position to have children, however helping these very young girls will also, I suppose maybe selfishly, help me feel like I am able to look after them as though they are my own and be part of their growth and dreams. Will you help us achieve this? Will you be a part of their future?

Many thanks for reading my story above - I will be overwhelmed to hear your responses and look forward to seeing the donations roll in- Lets do this!
