Ernie’s Yorkshire Three Peak challenge · 11 July 2019

The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, we're doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

Three days ago my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer. I am determined to raise as much money as I possibly can so that I can help to give people suffering from cancer the support they need.

Last year I shaved off all my hair to raise money for Macmillan, I raised £6,855 in total and I felt so happy that I’d raised that amount for such a good cause.

I am in absolute awe of what this charity does and would now like to continue to raise money for them as they could be helping someone in my family that I’m incredibly close to and care so much about.

I have decided to attempt the Three peak challenge in Yorkshire this summer which consists of:

1. Pen-y-Ghent (694m)

2. Whernside (736m)

3. Ingleborough (723m)

It is said to be one of the most rewarding challenges in the UK as it’s meant to take around 12 hours to complete. I have picked something that is completely out of my comfort zone because I want to work really hard to gain your much needed support.

I’d be so incredibly grateful for any donations. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
