The past few months have been such an emotional roller coaster. There have been many highs and lows, but what has been constant is the overwhelming support from my loving family and caring friends old and new - thank you so much! 

As most of you know, I can be a bit of a control freak and there was no way on earth I was going to let any medicine decide when I can, or can not have a bad hair day! So I have decided to take matters into my own hands.

My choice of charity is Beechwood Cancer Care Centre. The volunteers and professional practitioners have been a great help and are continuing to help me (and my family) deal with the physical and emotional changes I have faced. I always knew that medically I was in good hands at The Christie and Stepping Hill's brilliant Booby Moore Unit; however it was the emotional side that I really struggled with and Beechwood really transformed what seemed totally overwhelming into something I could deal with.

The great news is that I have beat cancer! I am now at the preventative treatment phase which unfortunately involves some not so pleasant medicine.  I will get through this with your continued help and support.

Btw. the picture above was taken at Tania's wedding this year - two weeks after the second surgery! Anything is possible when you believe and stay positive.
