Story
I have had it in mind to try to raise money for charitable causes. I had run the Great North Run 4 Years ago & Note that the funds raised still have not gone to these places so I am again running this year(2016) to ensure that these funds get to two charities that are connected to cancer. Willowburn and Maggies both who support people who suffer from cancer, the staff deal with a lot of suffering and loss.
I would like to dedicate this run to a neighbour Alison Howes, wife of Ron Howes and Mother to Paul and Steven. My uncle Bruce and a close friend, Mark Robertson, (Mark Shark the late owner of Brighton Watersports] who died at the young age of 42 from a brain tumour and lung cancer (what a down to earth man who brought roller booting up to the Mecca in Sunderland at the age of 19 with a friend from Brighton. Mark unfortunately had a terrible penchant for rolling his own). He is still greatly missed by me. I also dedicate this run to a fellow art teacher, friend and past colleague who lives and continues to supress Leukaemia, not forgetting Chris & Sue, Chris died last year of Lung Cancer, Catherine Chisman's father, Peter Chisman, a keen cyclist who sadly died from Leukaemia.
Cycling and running in the Pyranees made me realise I had potential to run further. Thanks to Joanne who managed to get a running number.

Thanks for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page.
Donating through JustGiving is apparently simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
