Story
I don't want to see tigers disappear from the wild in my lifetime. 21st Century Tiger is one programme working to ensure that this doesn't happen.
20 miles is a long walk for someone who doesn't usually walk more than about 3 miles at one time! I'm hoping that joining like-minded folk on the day will see me through the aches and pains.
21st Century Tiger's mission is to Give Wild Tigers a Future.
100 per cent of money received in donations is granted to conservation as its administration is wholly funded by the Zoological Society of London and Dreamworld Wildlife Foundation.
21st Century Tiger also encourages zoos around the world to invest time and resources into wild tiger conservation and to promote wildlife conservation to their visitors and zoos are making a difference.
I was originally going to walk around Richmond Park and Wimbledon Common in one in a series of Walk4Wildlife but that has sadly been cancelled at the last minute due to a problem at the Royal Parks.
Instead, I will now be walking in the next Walk4Wildlife in the beautiful New Forest - it's still 20 miles just a different setting! People will be walking for a range of wildlife charities. It's going to be fun.
