This February I will be walking, running or cycling 50 miles as part of the February Fifty campaign to fundraise for KiSS. 

KiSS is a charity based in Uganda which supports vulnerable children, their families and their local communities. Over the years KiSS has moved from simply funding children’s education and healthcare, to empowering communities in Uganda through community lending groups and agricultural projects to try and make the communities self-sustainable. The charity has grown over the years to focus on really empowering and improving the lives of disadvantaged children and families in Uganda. Although there is technically free schooling for children in most parts of Uganda, classrooms are always overcrowded and children must be wearing a particular uniform which is often far too expensive for families living in absolute poverty. KiSS ensures that children have access to quality education, to empower them to take control of their future.

KiSS is a charity that is very close to my heart. Having spent time in Uganda and seeing first hand the amazing work that KiSS has done before the COVID outbreak it is hard to imagine how COVID has impacted the two KiSS communities.
