The Sick Kids Friends Foundation provides support for families at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh. It provides extra comforts for children, extra child & family-friendly facilities, extra medical equipment, extra support for sick children who are cared for in the Community and extra training and research.

Story

We did! Luckily the snow stopped long enough for the race to take place. We were there with about 50 other kids. The atmosphere was great and everyone wore their pyjamas. We enjoyed the warm up and then raced down the hill. Euan sprinted all the way and was amongst the first few to cross the finish line. Calum was well ahead of Mum who slowed down after a great start. It was great fun. We are all very proud to have taken part and loved the medals!

Thanks again to all our sponsords.

Hello, this is our first indepedent fund raising effort, not organised by the school or scouts. We have chosen to take part in The Great Pyjamas Caper for the new Sick Kids hospital.  It's a fun 1 mile race around Arthur Seat on New Year's day and wearing new pyjamas. Because Calum is not yet 8 years old, Mum will have to put on her pyjamas and join in the fun too!

We've had many trips to the sick kids over the years, from trips and falls and broken bones to scary infections and pneumonia. We know how nice everyone is at the Sick Kids  and a what tremendous work the doctors and nurses are doing. As we're lucky enough to be healthy, we want to give something back and help the Sick Kids to build an even better hospital to help other children.

We're looking forward to getting our medals (and showing Mum how much faster than her we can run!) so please give if you can!

The New Pyjamas Campaign aims to raise £15 million towards Scotland's new Sick Kids hospital in Edinburgh. The money will help pay for lifesaving capital equipment, research, training and support and services for sick kids and their families.
