My Nanna has been an inspiration to me since I was little and continues to be one now. For me, she always resembled a strong, independent, courageous women, despite everything. My gorgeous Nanna passed away two and a half years ago, and most of my memories of her are overshadowed by the unforgiving Alzheimer's disease, which she fought from the young age of 58, for 12 years.
On the day I turn 18, I am beginning adulthood by jumping out of a plane (!!!) in remembrance and celebration of my Nanna's life - and to keep her memory alive on an important milestone in my life. Whether Nanna would approve or not, Skydiving seemed the perfect way to do it!
I would be extremely grateful if you could sponsor me, donations will proceed to the Alzheimers society - helping provide necessary care and research to find a cure for the disease that robbed me of so many memories with my Nanna.
