Electric Run - London 2015 · 2 May 2015 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
On the 2nd of May Eva will have her glow sticks in hand and will be bopping around Wembley park for her first Electric Run all in aid of The Sick Children's Trust.
Like any star, Eva will have her support crew to navigate her pimped up buggy around the course. Her entourage for the night will be her Auntie Karin and her honoury Auntie Anna
The Sick Children's Trust is a charity that is so close to our family's hearts. We would be delighted if you could help us fundraise by sponsoring Eva and her crew !!
Eva was born 10 weeks early in University College Hospital on the 22nd of December 2013 and weighed only 525g. She required a life saving operation in the first 24 hours of her life at the Royal London Hospital - where she remained in intensive care for 8 weeks. This was followed by a further 11 weeks in Northwick Park. She finally got to go home to Eddie and I in Pinner at the end of April after 128 days !
When Eva was transferred to the Royal London for her operation, Eddie was contacted almost immediately by The Sick Children's Trust, who provided a room in Stevenson House for our family see link below

This was the most amazing gesture as it meant that we didn't have to travel to be by Eva's incubator ( Pinner is about an hours commute away). Being so close to the hospital ensured that despite the barrier of an incubator we got to bond and care for Eva and be within running distance when the calls came to alert us of her health changes.
Stevenson House not only provided a bed, but a warm and friendly environment where we could relax after a stressful day on the ward, talk with other parents who were caring for sick children and to have proper meals. But most importantly on days when Eva was very poorly we were only 2 mins away from the hospital.
We would be delighted if you could help us support this amazing charity who work tirelessly to assist families at one of the most stressful times.
Any amount you can give would be fantastic !!
