We have been so inspired by your warm response that we have decided to take our challenge up a level!
Autism is a lifelong developmental disorder that affects the individual’s ability to communicate and interact effectively and functionally with the world. Autism deriving from the Greek words ‘eautos/self’ can make the individuals appear self-centred and struggling to see things from other people’s perspective. Autism refers to such a great spectrum. No two children with autism are the same as any other two typically developing children wouldn’t be. They are all incredibly special with often fascinating capabilities. Some of them may never develop speech or express emotions, however the right approach and teaching can have miraculous effects on their progress. And this is why we are doing this for Snowflake, because staff have such an expertise that can turn the children’s lives around. This is not an overstatement; it is a testimony of parents of our pupils within a year of their children attending our school.
Snowflake School for Children with Autism, a registered UK charity, established since 2008 by a very inspirational woman, a mother who was committed to offer the appropriate provision for her son. Fay has gone to great lengths all these years to turn Snowflake into a Centre of Excellence, where the science of ABA (Applied behavioural Analysis), the individuality of the curriculum and the commitment of staff and stakeholders make it such a popular place for those children to be. We want to help Snowflake do what they know how to do best and help them grow even bigger….
Please support and join us to run TEN London Parks in FIVE Days!
I will complete five 10km runs accompanied by my friend and trainer Istvan who will also complete 15km runs during 5 consecutive days commencing on Wednesday 8th December 2010 and finishing on Sunday 12th 2010.

Istvan, has been my personal trainer for the past year. He is from Hungary and he is training for the 2012 Olympics. Focused, positive and energetic, Istvan has offered to train me as well as run beside me to help raise funds for The Snowflake School I am confident that Istvan’s positive thinking and encouragement will help in seeing me through this run.
My job as the Deputy Head at Snowflake School has been challenging but all the more fulfilling. I want to express my gratitude by raising much needed funds for the school.
Please help Snowflake by sponsoring us for this challenging 50K run.
