Last year following Evelyn’s rather unexpected and traumatic arrival, Dominic and I found ourselves staying in the Ronald McDonald House in Amsterdam. This meant we were a short walk from the hospital so we could be at Evelyn’s bedside anytime of day or night whilst she fought for her life.  At the time we were not sure whether she would survive so we wanted to be with her as much as possible. The RMH provided us with a homely environment and gave us a place to have some privacy and get some rest. The volunteers looked after us, offering to make us a cup of tea, making our bed, doing our laundry. It’s all these simple things which really made the world of difference to us enabling us to be close to Evelyn. 

Evelyn is our miracle girl. She has defied every odd against her and has proven that life is worth living…even in these strange covid times. We want her naming day to be a day of celebration, not just her arrival into the world but also a day to celebrate and thank everyone attending for their love and support. Evelyn is so lucky to have you all in her life and you've already been so generous to her so we would ask that if you did want to give something that instead of a gift you made a donation to the Ronald McDonald House. 

We are so looking forward to the event and seeing you all there! The aim of the day is to celebrate Evelyn's arrival into the world and seeing everyone together after so long! Relax, enjoy and celebrate!
