Evie-Leigh, 7 & Lilly-May, 9 Running 1 mile or more

Running 1800 yards · 17 June 2017
Thanks for visiting my page. We are Lilly-May age 9 and Evie-Leigh age 6. Lilly-May is flat footed and has problems with her legs but she would like to run for charity along with her sister Evie-Leigh. Our mum had open heart surgery in 2010. If it wasn't for our mum getting pregnant with Lilly-May then our mum would never have known she had a heart problem. Our mum had surgery when Evie-Leigh was only 4 months old. Our nana also has a heart problem. Our great nana died from a heart attack. Our great papa (great grandad) died from a heart attack. Our grandad had a heart condition. Our great aunty died from a heart condition she didn't know she had. Heart problems run through our family. Barden Athletics Club have kindly allowed us to use their running track for the event and some of their juniors have offered to run alongside us. We are raising money for the British Heart Foundation's research and we would be so grateful for your support. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every penny helps so please give what you can to help is hit our target. Even if you can only donate 20p, every penny counts. Thanks!
