2018 Robin Hood Half Marathon · 30 September 2018 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Hey, welcome to my just giving page!

I’m going to be running the Robin Hood half marathon on 30th September 2018 in Nottingham for Alzheimer’s Society.

It has long been a goal of mine to run a marathon and after running the half marathon I hope to move on to completing full marathons in the future. My aim is to run the half marathon in the best time that I can, ideally as close to the 2 hour mark as possible.

The ability to run it and use it as a chance to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society and the fantastic work they do, will definitely motivate me to train my hardest over the next few months. The charity’s main aim is to see a dementia free world through continued research, but until that point they are working tirelessly to make the lives of those affected by the disease as easy as possible.

For that reason I have chosen to run for them and will do so proudly, hoping to raise as much money as I can for the cause before the event.

Anything you can donate will help and I’ve decided to now set my target at £750,  a fair bit over my initial target of £250 which was reached well before I expected (thank you!).

Thank you,

Ewan :)
