Story

Exercise JAVELIN RIDE latest: We have now completed the trip (a total of 844 miles) and all went well (except the heavy rain for 3 days!)  The picture to the left shows us outside of the Regimental HQ of the REME in Arborfield (about 360 miles in to the ride). Many thanks to all of you who have sponsored us so far- please feel free to keep sponsoring as long as the site is open.

***************************************************************************

Exercise JAVELIN RIDE is an 850 mile cycle ride being undertaken by 10 members of 7th Signal Regiment LAD REME.  The ride will take us from our from our barracks in Elmpt, Germany, through Holland, Belgium and France to the Regimental HQs of the REME and R Signals, in Arborfield and Blandford.  Once we get there.......we will turn around and cycle back!

The main charity that we are raising money for is the Army Benevolent Fund.  We will also be raising money for Cancer Research UK - cheques can be sent direct to the OC LAD at BFPO 35 - payable to Central Bank 7 Signal Regiment.

Please help us to raise some much needed cash for these charities and make the whole trip a bit less painful!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Army Benevolent Fund will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
