We raise money for children with cancer to improve their quality of life

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page.

Ezra and Harry shaved off their long locks on 17th February, to raise money for the Children With Cancer Fund (Polegate). Their best mate, Ethan, was diagnosed with medullary thyroid cancer early in 2018. In the intervening time, he's had his thyroid and part of the parathyroid removed, and is now undergoing further treatment and investigations. He's currently able to attend school almost full time, but, naturally, the treatment takes its toll.

The Children with Cancer Fund (Polegate) have been phenomenal in their support for Ethan and his family. Their stated aim is to enable the children, and families of the children with cancer, to have a quality of life that we would hope to have ourselves. Most of the time it means giving them treats or buying them something they have missed out on, normally due to the fact that their money has been spent fighting the illness or burning up petrol going to and from the hospital for treatment.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. About the charity

CWCF was set up in 1998 by Ursula & Chris Downton with Kirsty & James Denny. Now, with the help of other friends and family, we still go out having fun raising funds to grant wishes to families that live in East Sussex, Brighton & Hove and who have children that have been diagnosed with cancer.
