We provide enriching, fulfilling activities to disadvantaged children facing poverty

Story

Participants, who attend the FAB Healthy Lifestyle Groups,  Calorie Killers and In2Shape, will be attempting to cycle from Leicester to Mablethorpe to raise funds for the Mablethorpe Childrens Holiday Home.

Also The Lord Mayors chosen charity, the Children’s Home is close to the heart of many of the people taking part as it provided their only opportunity for a holiday as children.

Many of those taking part in the ride face their own health challenges, which in the past have prevented them from taking part in physical activity. Joining the groups has helped them to overcome health barriers and change their lives for the better.

The team of 25 are training daily to prepare for the challenge and volunteering their own time to raise money, plan local rides and source donations.

Anything that can be donated in support of the challenge would be greatly appreciated and will mean more money can be raised for the Children’s Home.
