War Child is striving for a world in which no child's life is torn apart by war. We protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children living in war zones across the world. Your support today will help us reach even more children in need.

Story

Thank you for visiting our page on Just Giving. We've embarked on a foolhardy attempt to cycle unsupported from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise money for a fantastic cause: War Child, the charity that works with children affected by war. The charity works in some of the most dangerous areas of the world to help children directly affected by conflict, either as victims of fighting or the desperate cases of children forced into becoming soldiers.  You can see War Child's site at http://www.warchild.org.uk .

We've called this journey FATSO-LEJOG. The Land's End to John O'Groats trip is apparently called LEJOG by those in the know. FATSO - well it's a FATherSOn post GCSE adventure and Richard is hoping to lose a few pounds.

We' re trying to cover the route in about 2 weeks and we'll try to post information about our progress as we go.
