Story
Several members of the Fairhurst Estates & Red Rock Facilities team will be flying high over Snowdonia, on 3 of Europe’s largest, and the world’s fastest zip line to raise money for charity.
Emily’s son Noah was born 13 days late and was starved of
oxygen for 41 minutes at birth due to a nasty infection. As a result of this he now lives with severe
brain damage and has very limited movement. Noah has help with his breathing
and is fed through a tube in his tummy as he will never be able to feed
himself. Noah has been in hospital since he was born and now at 17 months old
he is just starting to spend a few nights at home with the help of overnight
carers. We are hoping in the next few months that he will eventually be
discharged from hospital.
NewLife Foundation for Disabled Children have
been amazing and kindly provided funding for a specialist rear facing car seat
which has allowed us the freedom to take Noah away from the hospital environment and to spend quality time with his loving family. They have also provided us with a wonderful P-Pod support seat. This seat helps Noah to
sit up and allows regular position changes to stop any pressure sores. These
pieces of equipment would have cost a huge amount of money and we are truly
grateful NewLife’s generosity.
Emily explains, ” Newlife, is one very close to my heart. It has provided Noah with specialist seating and a car seat which has made a huge difference to him.”
