At Bede, we support those who find it hardest to be part of the community. We are a local, south London charity. Our projects aim to help people with a learning disability, young people and families on low incomes, and those affected by domestic abuse to overcome hardships and flourish.

Story

We’re inspired by the strength and resilience of our community. For over 75 years, we have supported the Southwark residents who need us most.

Our programmes serve more than 2,000 people every year. We’re proud to run four different programmes that reflect our community’s needs. Right now, we’re providing support to adults with learning disabilities, victims of domestic violence and hate crimes (our Starfish Project), and young people aged 11-19. We are also helping local self-help groups organise activities to make their communities better.

Bede relies on the generosity of people and organisations who believe in the potential of Southwark.

We welcome anyone who wants to contribute to our community.
