Falklands 35th Anniversary 60 Miler · 22 February 2017

Care After Combat is to help to maintain and promote camaraderie in the Veterans community for those feeling vulnerable or at unrest with society. We look to provide professional assistance where possible for the well-being of Veterans and their family.

Story

We are a small expedition of 9 Falklands War veterans revisiting the battlefields that we fought on in 1982 as Welsh Guardsmen. We will be filmed as part of a BBC Panorama documentary which will be released next June as part of the 35th Anniversary of the Falklands Conflict. Our charity walk will take in a 60 mile march from San Carlos to Port Stanley raising money for 2 charities, Care After combat and SAMA Wales.

It will be an emotional journey back visiting the Island for the first time with lads who feature within the graphic novel that I wrote and illustrated about the conflict. A massive thank you to our equipment sponsors Snugpak, Keela, Altberg boots and Karrimor SF.
