Hello there! I am taking part in 'Coventry Sleep Out', a sponsored challenge on Friday 23rd October, that means 'roughing it' for the night and sleeping outside in a cardboard box in the ruins of the Coventry Cathedral. 

The intention is not to replicate rough sleeping, but that hopefully by giving up my warm cosy bed for the night it will emphasise and communicate a real understanding and appreciation of WHY services to prevent homelessness are important. 

Prevention services for homeless is a cause I am deeply passionate about; having worked for and with homeless charities/organisations I cannot express in enough words how IMPORTANT their work is. E.g. A Christmas shelter program here in Coventry is also used by those who are LONELY, so even people who have a home still need the services offered.
