Al-Khair Foundation is a UK-based international NGO providing humanitarian support, international development and emergency aid in some of the world’s most deprived areas. As a leading Muslim charity, we also look to tackle issues in the UK as well, such as education and women’s empowerment.

Story

As part of one of our university modules, we four students at Glasgow Caledonian University were given the task of fundraising for a charity who were working towards a cause in which we believed in. We decided to fundraise on behalf of the Al-Khair Foundation, an international NGO who have raised millions for various causes throughout the world.

It's most recent appeal is concerned with raising money to help those affected by the Yemen Civil War, which has displaced 2 million civilians and the terrible drought affecting East-Africa which has affected up to 16 million people.

16 million people. Almost 3 times the population of Scotland.

As part of our fundraising efforts we held a bake sale in our university which raised a fantastic £124. However we know that with your help we can raise more. We know that with your help we WILL raise more. Whether it be £1 or £50, donate with the knowledge that 100% of the money will go directly to the people in the countries who need it most, and if you are not able to donate then we simply ask that you share this page with family and friends.

On behalf of the group members, thank you for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page!
