Story

Hi,

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

In 2021, I sailed the iconic Rolex Fastnet Race with Tall Ships Youth Trust (TSYT) and became the youngest ever competitor in the race’s history, at age 12. It was a great experience; and very exciting to helm our 16-strong crew across the line in Cherbourg, the first time the Fastnet has finished there. As a dual French/British national, and as the first time we’d travelled since the Covid lockdowns, it was pretty momentous! I raised £11,000 which funded a life-changing voyage for 12 disadvantaged young people with TSYT.

The picture above was taken when we had docked in Cherbourg, and I had had my first shower in 6 days...

This summer, I'm doing the same again! What’s really exciting is that we’ll be racing against 2 other TYST Challengers this time, including a youth boat that I am still to young to join :( so I’ll be reunited with several of the 2021 crew, including my parents.

Please help me help more young people who have a tough time in life.

Thank you very much for your support.  Love, Zoë
