Last week I wanted to raise $1,185 to sponsor a year education 📚 for a young girl growing in rural Morocco. We started fundraising May 16th, we surpassed $1,185 in seven days y +$151.16!! My mother was born in rural Morocco with no acces to education. Up to 83% of women and girl in rural areas in Morocco are illiterate, that is almost 50% of the female  population in Morocco and many living in poverty. 

I spent the last week before the start of the holly month, researching and scouring the internet of a cause we can support. I was delighted to find Education for All. A UK based charity for Moroccan girls. 

It is my mission this Ramadan to fundraise another $1,185 in order to sponsor a Moroccoan girl to attend school and live in a boarding house - in a more remote area of the High Atlas 100 km from Marrakech in the town of Talaat n’Yacoub. 

- Living accommodation

- 3 Nutritious meals a day

- Necessary school materials

- Access to computers and booksessential

- Clothing

- Transport home at the weekends

My mother m'shallah has raised three wonderful children, 'hamdullah. Each child achieving a University education spanning across the globe, from the UK to the USA, Australia and China.  The youngest of them all, (my brother) beginning his doctorate at the end of this year, in'shallah. It is not lost on us the value of education.
