When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community.

Story

On 12th March 2017, I shall be running in the Silverstone Half-marathon in order to raise money for the Stroke Association, the UKs leading non-profit stroke charity. Some of you may have already lost someone close due to this condition or know someone who has.  My mother died from a stroke almost 10 years ago. She is never far from my thoughts – as a mother to 2 young boys I am constantly reminded that,  despite her absence, no mother and daughter truly live apart, no matter what the distance.

The Stroke Association desperately need your support in order to fund life-saving research and to help victims in their recovery.  To help me reach my goal £500, I would really appreciate your sponsorship. Your donation really will make a difference.

Thank you

Yours sincerely,

Fatima

P.S.:  Remember: The Stroke Association relies upon the generosity of individuals like you. Please feel free to share this with your family and friends to help spread the message. Thank you for your support.
