Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I last had my hair fully cut in 1998, so after 14 years i am going to amass enough courage and shave my head.I know there is a risk that it may never grow again to the length I have but I will do this for the DIGNITY!PERIOD Campaign run by ACTSA (Action For Southern Africa). The campaign aims to increase awareness and raise much needed funds to support many women in Zimbabwe with essential sanitary protection. These women usually have to forego sanitary protection inorder to get basic items such as food and clothing. As a result they resort to unhygienic alternatives such as newspapers, leading to infections etc
Since launching the Dignity Period campaign in 2005, ACTSA with the ZCTU (Zimbabwe Congress Of Trade Unions) has distributed more than 7 million sanitary products free to women of Zimbabwe. However, the need for these continues and in order to help the women of Zimbabwe preserve their Dignity, i need your help to raise much needed funds to ensure this campaign continues....
The shaving event will take place on the 18th of March 2012
You all know my love for different hairstyles, this will obviously restrict me from achieving my favourite haistyles, a gallery of which I have put for your perusal.I have also put a picture from back in the days(am the one with blue bowtie) for your amusement, this will give you an idea of how I will look…
So please dig deep and donate now and HELP A WOMAN OUT THERE PRESERVE HER DIGNITY....
