What are we doing?

We are hiking 80km (50 miles) in one go as part of the Spring in Lakeland 50 Anytime Challenge 2021. This will take place in the Lake District in August.

This means a lot of blisters, aching muscles and possibly a bit of chafe... but most definitely a huge sense of achievement.

Why are we raising money for North Clwyd Animal Rescue?

Everybody knows that a dog, cat or little furry quickly becomes part of the family and each one is truly special in its own way. 

All three of us have dogs that we adore, and Chesca actually adopted a beautiful 4-year-old Staffy called Cersei from NCAR last year. 

However, although Cersei found her forever home, there is a large number of unwanted, abused and abandoned animals in the area. NCAR helps these stray and unwanted animals find new and loving owners, rehoming over 1,800 of them each year.

NCAR relies totally on generous donations as they receive no government funding. If you'd like to find out more about them, their website is www.ncar.org.uk
