The South London Botanical Institute (SLBI) is a magical place that encourages and enables local schools, families and groups to study plants. As with most places, the SLBI has had to close its doors to schools and visitors due to the Government's lockdown requirements for Covid19. At a time of ecological crisis, when we need more people to learn about the importance and beauty of the plant world, I'm fundraising to help keep this special place thriving.  Having worked here for many years as administrator and having quite a limited plant knowledge, shamefully, this is a perfect moment to try and find out more about some beautiful coastal plants and raise funds too.  I hope to add a few plants a week over the next few weeks.
