Story
Thank you for taking your time to read my page.So I am going to take up this challenge: trekking 51kms within 5 days at the altitude of over 3000m up to 4200m in Peru and conquer Machu Picchu-the most important archeological find and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, in November 2019, to raise money for Make a Wish Foundation UK branch.
In the past several years I have delivered some Chinese dance performances for children at hospices in the UK. Knowing that those children were suffering from critical illnesses and even would have a short life to live broke my heart, but seeing them smiling watching me dance melted my heart. So making unfortunate children and young people happy is something I would like to continue doing.
Through this charitable activity, I am hoping to help grant wishes to children and young people who are fighting for life-threatening conditions and create lifetime experiences and memories for them, to alleviate agony and generate positive impacts during their hapless journey. Realising their wishes is my wish too!
Therefore, your donation will be much appreciated to make this challenge happen. My goal is £3400, but the more, the better! The money raised on this page will be donated directly to Make A Wish UK branch. However, if you prefer you can donate to the charity directly or choose another branch that you like to support.
Make-A-Wish UK grant magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. Granting their wish provides seriously ill children with hope for the future, strength to cope and resilience to fight their condition. They’re given quality time away from the daily realities of living with their condition and given the chance to make magical memories they can treasure forever – whatever their future may hold. We want to transform the lives of 1,000 children this year by granting their One True Wish!
