A team from Fenn Wright have entered the Woodbridge 10k Road Race to raise funds for SARS!

The 38th annual Woodbridge Round-the-Town Charity races will be held on Sunday 19th May 2019. The races follow a challenging course through the streets of Woodbridge that bring the whole town out to line the route and provide support.

SARS is an emergency medical charity, founded in 1972, who provide specialist volunteer responders to assist the East of England Ambulance Service at the scene of serious incidents - in the home or at the roadside.

SARS receive no statutory funding and rely on voluntary donations to fund equipment and training to help offer the best possible service to the people of Suffolk and its surrounding areas.

Clinicians carry out advanced procedures at the scene which are normally only undertaken in a hospital environment. This can mean truly lifesaving interventions, particularly when patients are trapped and rapid evacuation to hospital isn't possible.

SARS fill a vital gap by providing advanced emergency medical aid within their catchment areas. In addition to helping save lives, the presence of a SARS specialist at an incident scene can also reduce the chances of patients suffering permanent disability or unnecessary pain. They are an enhanced medical resource which the ambulance service can call upon 365 days a year.
