Story
My Dear Donators,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Sunday 26th September 2010 I will be taking to the streets to run 13.1 miles for charity. Joining me will be the above team members of which the majority have been training with me since June of this year for this event. This run came about after Mary enthusiastically suggested back in May I believe, that we all run this as she had signed up for it. Another client, Georgina also signed up for it and made the same suggestion and hence the birth of our running extravaganza.
We have been on a spectacular journey running at least three times a week, up to 20-25 miles per week around the South East of London. We have gotten lost along the way, soaked in the rain, dodged uncut trees, pedestrians, dogs, cyclists, been jeered on by drinkers outside of pubs, braved the elements of the sun and cold, and discovered areas of London we never knew existed. Peckham High Street is interesting to say the least. We've tackled many a hill and enjoyed the relief of the flats. We've breathed fresh air, exhaust fumes, oily food from the kebabs shops and of course the fine smells from gourmet restaurants. Together we have clocked up over 500 miles as we trained to be able to complete this half marathon, our first ever.
There have been several self-discoveries with each run and everything we have experienced will be a moment that will live on in our memories forever.
I am running for the charity Rainbow Trust and any donation you give I will be grateful for. All I am asking is that you donate at least one pound. Really I mean it, one pound is good enough.
