Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!

Fibrus Networks are very proud to have Cancer Fund for Children as our Charity Partner for 2022!

About the charity:
"Every week in Northern Ireland, another 3 children are diagnosed with cancer. That is 12 families every month thrown into darkness and not knowing where to turn. This is where Cancer Fund for Children step in. From the point of diagnosis, the charity are there to provide practical and emotional support to the entire family because, beyond the essential medical care, there is a family life that needs rebuilt.

Cancer Fund for Children's Support Specialist's provide individual support to young people diagnosed with cancer, their siblings, and to young people with a parent diagnosed aged 0-24. They work on the ward to provide young people with support during treatment. They offer group support and residential weekends to young people impacted by cancer allowing them a safe space with peers going through a similar situation. They offer mini well-being breaks for parents. They offer bereavement support to families who have lost a loved one. And they offer free therapeutic short breaks at the amazing Daisy Lodge in Newcastle, Co. Down...

It costs Cancer Fund for Children over £2.4 Million every year to carry out their vital work and it simply would not be possible without local businesses and people by their side."

Throughout the year our Fibrus Charity Champions will organise some fun events and activities to raise as much money as possible for this very deserving cause. Anything you might be able to donate would be most sincerely appreciated.

Thank you!
