Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I have been very recently 'touched' personally by the work done by a hospice, and I cannot speak highly enough of the kindness, care and help provided to both patients and families alike.
The Biggest Loser challenge has now finished and I finished second with a weight loss of 55 and a half pounds in the 18 weeks. However I am going to continue trying to raise money as my target is to get to 9 stone 13 which is still some way off.
So please dig deep and donate now
As a reminder of why I have chosen this charity - sadly my mother in law died in the Thames Valley Hospice in September 2011 - she had really valued the care they gave as she struggled with motor neurone disease and died comfortable and relaxed in a place she loved. I also lost my father in law, after a long and brave battle with cancer. During the last 3 months of his life, he had a 5 week stay at the same hospice, and was very appreciative of the care they gave to both him and to us as a family. He died peacefully at home on Boxing Day 2011 with his family with him.Donations for the Thanes Valley Hospice were requested for the funeral.
Taking part in the biggest loser now allows me to support my local hospice, and I would be very grateful if you could sponsor me. My in-laws both lived life to the full, so this programme to help me achieve my weight loss goals, will help make sure that not only is money raised for the St Francis Hospice, but also that I am fit and healthy to ensure I can live life to the fullest too.
