Story
Hello, thank you for spending the time to read the reason why I started this fundrasing for Anti Slavery International.
I've always had a strong sense of justice and I believe that any act of kindness is a step forward to a safer world, for any of us. Lately, I have been inspired by the work of Kailash Satyarthi, the activist who won the Nobel Prize for his fight against child labour and exploitation, in 2014. He freed over 80.000 kids from slavery.
According to "International Labour Organisation" around 260 million children are in employment around the world. Africa and Asia are the continents with the highest number of kids who are engaged in child labour. Reading this might shock you, and the fact that you could be one of these poor children should really push you to take action. In my humble opinion, you, me, we were only born on the "right" side of the world.
I consider myself a privileged girl, who lived a happy and safe childhood and has the opportunity of studying. I strongly believe that every child has the right of being free and to have an Education.
I kindly ask you to make a change today, by donating what you can.
IMPORTANT: All the money collected will go to Anti Slavery International
(This fundraising is in honour of Iqbal Masih, a young Pakistani boy who was forced into bonded labor at age four. After being freed at age ten, he became an activist against bonded child labor. Iqbal was murdered at the young age of 12, becoming a martyr.)
