Well, on the bright sunny Sunday morning of 17th April I did complete the Flora London Marathon. I took my time, 5 hours 4 minutes and 40 seconds to be precise! Not a fast time but it is a PB! Tamsin (my running partner) and I managed to stay together for the entire route and even sprinted the last 400 metres to the finish line. Both our families appeared at intervals with encouragement and 'jelly babies' and 'skittles' along the route.
It was everything everyone who has done it said it would be - tiring but thrilling, exhausting but exhilirating, physically and emotionally draining, but a fantastic achievement.
If you are reading this message it is because you sponsored me and have made a donation to KIDS. On behalf of the children who will benefit I would like to thank you all for your generosity and the supportive messages.
So, next is the London to Brighton for The British Heart Foundation on Sunday 19th June. This year our eldest son, Finian is joining me on the 58 mile ride.
Many thanks for your support, many KIDS will benefit.
