Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

A group of ladies of a certain age from Reading Golf Club has decided to take part in a 10K fun run (more likely a 10K hobble) to raise money for Parkinson's disease from which two of our husbands suffer. We enjoy playing golf and walking and preparing for the run will help us to keep fit. We also have some younger supporters helping us.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Unfortunately the organisers decided to postpone the event because of the terrible weather. The course was waterlogged in parts and was considered unsafe for competitors and spectators. We await a new date which we hope will suit us all so that we can do justice to all our kind supporters who have donated so generously.
