Story

As I approach my half century birthday, I realise how lucky I am. I have an amazing family and am surrounded by great friends.  I am blessed to have good health too.

Unfortunately, not everyone in the world is so lucky.  Having enjoyed travelling around the world, I have seen that not everyone lives as comfortably as I do and this is no more evident in one of my favourite countries, Malawi.

This summer, I am returning to Malawi with the Colin, Matthew, Louise and members of the 25th Stirling Boys' Brigade Project Malawi to help repair and renovate classrooms for some of the most needing young learners in the world.  Having been on a similar project 3 years ago, I know the impact of what this work can have on learning in Malawi.

I am not expecting gifts for my birthday as I am lucky to have everything I need. However, if any of my friends and family wish to recognise my birthday in this way, I  would be very grateful to accept donations to this worthy cause instead.
