We conduct world class medical research projects. We diagnose and treat thousands of people with epilepsy every year. We do this and much more. We are the UK’s national medical epilepsy charity. With Epilepsy Society, you don’t have to deal with epilepsy alone.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In the next couple of days I will head-off to climb the 8,848m / 29,029ft Sagarmatha mountain, aka Mount Everest.  Apparently this is only the 5th furthest point from the centre of the Earth....the furthest is the slumbering volcano known as Chimborazo in Ecuador (6,268m / 20,564ft above sea level) - the difference between the two is actually over 2km from the centre of the Earth.

In any event, I've climbed other big mountains but I'm definitely still healthily scared as well as very excited to go off and try to climb safely up and down this massive and partly infamous hill.

So, if you think this is worthy of your support, I'm trying to raise money for Epilepsy.  Some of may know my Mum had this for over 40-years of her life, and in the end it very sadly took her.

For ongoing updates on my team's progress up the mountain check out: http://www.alpineascents.com/cybercasts.asp
