I am running the Cardiff Half Marathon because my best friend Sam has been having kidney dialysis at Treliske Hospital since March this year, and is awaiting a kidney transplant.

Sam has dialysis three times a week for four hours each time. Dialysis costs the NHS over £300 per session.
