Myself and my 9 year old daughter, Mia are attempting to "run" the 5k Race For Life in Oxford on 26/6/11.  For those of you who know me well you'll know that running for a quick cappucino is about my limit these days so this is quite a challenge for me!!  Mia on the other hand is a budding cross country runner coming 2nd in an inter schools competition earlier this year.

We were inspired to take part following the news that our dear friend (and Mia and Marcus' Godmother) Jen had been diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the age of 29.  Jen is midway through her Chemo and is doing well and this is our way of supporting her - WAY TO GO JEN!!!

We are also running in memory of my Mum and Mia's Grandmother "Nangi" who passed away from Cancer 5 years ago.

Finally, we are also taking part in thanksgiving for the successful treatment of my Dad's Cancer 3 years ago.
