Tour de Midlands · 5 October 2018

We protect and support children and young people, providing practical and emotional care and support. We ensure their voices are heard, and campaign to bring lasting improvements to their lives. Our vision is that every child and young person has a safe and happy childhood, and the foundations they need to thrive.

Story

The First Midlands Senior Leadership Team (SLT) are cycling, virtually, between their 3 bus depots in Leicester, Stoke-on-Trent and Worcester - and back again on 5 October. Covering just over 200 miles between them they are hoping to avoid becoming too saddle sore.

The team are:

  • Nigel Eggleton - Managing Director
  • Katie Harding - HR Business Partner
  • Sarah East - Head of Operations
  • Carl Woolley - Fleet Engineer
  • Steve Zanker - Commercial Manager
  • Simon Chadfield - Employee Director
  • Martin McGowan - Marketing Manager
  • Diane Cliffe - PA
  • Ady Culpin - PR Manager
  • Matt Chapman - Graduate trainee
  • Paddy Kinch - Graduate trainee
Action for Children is Firstgroup's Charity Partner for the next 3 years, specifically targeting projects aimed at helping young people on their journey to better mental health.

The event will be taking place live in Leicester Haymarket Bus Station. Do pop by to say hello, make a donation and admire the MD's legs (receiving their debut airing). The more we raise the less lycra will be worn.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
