Anna, Simon, Dad and I are running the Bath Half Marathon in aid of iPartner India. 

We chose this charity because I had the most amazing experience travelling India in August, however once returning I contracted an infection from Salmonella in my blood stream which subsequently caused an abscess in my psoas muscle and discitis (disc inflammation) in my spine. This caused me to be on antibiotics for six weeks and the inability to exercise for nearly five months.

Running this half marathon will hopefully be the end of my recovery and raising money for iPartner India will help projects to prevent young people in India from having health issues and have a greater prospect in life. 

It also adds a new challenge for Anna and Simon for whom this will be their first half marathon, and this will be Dad's third in 3 years as well as the first time we will all run together. All four of us are at different levels of running, and whether we just want to finish the 13.1 miles or just want to beat our previous time we will complete this in support of our chosen charity.
