Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

This weekend (25th May 2019). 4 members of our senior management team; Mr Quinn, Mr Turburville, Mr Jolley and Mr Hooper will attempt to complete the Three Peaks Challenge, climbing the 3 highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales all within 24 hours, not forgetting a special mention to Mr Coffey who will be driving the support vehicle.

Three Peaks

Walkers climb each peak in turn, and are driven from the foot of one mountain to the next. The three peaks are:

  • Ben Nevis/ Beinn Nibheis (1,345 m or 4,413 ft), the highest mountain in Scotland
  • Scafell Pike  (978 m or 3,209 ft), the highest mountain in England
  • Snowdon / Yr Wyddfa (1,085 m or 3,560 ft), the highest mountain in Wales

The total distance walked is estimated at 44 km (27 mi), with a total ascent of 9,800 feet (3,000 m).

Our Charity
Each year The FitzWimarc School elect to support  a different charity in order to help our local community. Our chosen charity this year is the Southend Hospital Dementia Appeal.

Everything raised for this important cause will help improve the lives of patients living with Dementia.

We would like to wish the team the very best of luck.
