My Name is Stephen, I'm 37 years, and I'm about to embark on something crazy!
I work in Mental Health, I support people with various learning difficulties, and challenging behaviours. I know their is isn't a cure for Mental Health, and most of the time, all we can do is manage it best we can. I'm aware their is so much more to learn about!
What makes me feel so sad, is when I see children who have life threatening illnesses, these kids have to go through so much at a young age! And it's so hard on the families that surround them, they feel helpless. Children are our future, hopefully one day we'll find the 'Ultimate Cure'
'Action Medical Research' is a Charity who funds medical research that will hopefully beat so many deadly diseases that devastate the lives of so many children!
I'm not a Superhero! I'm just an avid runner with ambition and determination! I'm determinded to make a difference, but I can only do this with your support, so please dig deep. This year I'm taking on various running challenges, one of them been 'Great North Run'. I did this last year for Action! This year I hope together we can smash it!
So what's next! A lot if preparation, training, training and more training. And you'll get your reward, sheer indulgement in my suffering, you'll probably laugh at my ridiculous man cry's. And I'll be taking on the persona of Derek Zoolander!
Hopefully on my journey, I will also share my love of running. My aim will be to motivate the un-motivated. I want promote the healthy lifestyle for many people , and I will help them mile after mile.
