Hi there

 

Thanks for making the effort to click on that link and put your hand in your pocket in support of all the pain I'm enduring this year.  And pain it's been as some as you know!  With a strapped up ankle, knee support and probably a hip replacement, I'll be kicking off with a couple of 10k runs, in preparation for running my Flo Jo finale in October with a half marathon .  If I get the bug (and I think I might well do) I will try to squeeze in another half marathon before it get's too cold and wintery, but that will depend on how many weddings I'm invited to this season (2 so far!!), er and how many injuries!

 

So.... I'm in for the British 10k in London on Sunday 11th July so far. Come and watch me... we'll have a few vino's after (10.30am... who say's thats not allowed?).

 

I'll keep this bit updated as I enter each race... watch this space.

 

The more serious bit.... I've chosen to run for Help for Heroes.  I truely believe the guys and girls who fight for our queen and country are amazing and when such tradegic accidents happen we should be there to support them in return.  Visit their page, you'll be inspired....  http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/.

 

Just so you all know, I'll be paying all race entry fee's myself, so every penny you donate will go directly to Help for Heroes.  You're donations are paid over on a weekly basis, and the gift aid is paid over monthly.  Make sure you tick the box if you're a UK taxpayer - every penny will help.
