Story
HEY!
So I’m going to Ghana in April with International Service for 3 months!
International Service works with local organisations to empower people and help some of the most marginalised people in the world understand their rights and gain control over their lives.
During my time in Ghana I will be part of a small team of UK volunteers working alongside native volunteers for an existing organisation called Women Support Activist Group (WOSAG). WOSAG works with women’s groups and local communities to improve the quality of life of women in Ghana. We will be supporting WOSAG by implementing an educational support scheme to reduce the number of victims of domestic sexual violence, teenage pregnancy, and increase awareness of reproductive health.
The work of this organisation is immeasurable and I am so excited that I get to be a part of it.
The great thing about ICS is that acceptance onto their programmes is not based on your ability to produce (often) close to £2K, it is based on your commitment to the scheme
and your ability to fundraise.
ALL of the money donated on my Just Giving page goes directly to International Service !
I love illustrating but it’s something I’ve neglected since I stopped studying art at college. There were many fundraising suggestions from ICS from cake sales to fun runs but I felt I wanted to do something much more creative and personal.
I have illustrated 6 different botanically themed cards- who doesn’t love a cheese plant..
I wanted to give something to say thank you to those of you who make a donation. Not only are you making a worthy contribution to International Citizen Service who’s
work is essential in promoting the rights of marginalised people around the globe, but you ALSO get to own a set of illustrated cards designed and printed by yours truly.
These cards are limited edition and come kitted out with envelopes too.
For smaller donations you will receive a pack of 6 postcards.
For larger donations you will receive a pack of 6 greetings cards (blank inside, envelopes included).
Please give generously if you can, these cards were a labour of love !
