Jessop's Buggy Push · 11 May 2014 ·

We help Sheffield’s hospitals, community teams, mental health and specialist services to cover costs their NHS budgets can’t. We fund support for patients and staff, life-changing research and more, so that we can enhance care from birth to the end of life and everything in between.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Born in June of last year, our lovely little L decided to take after her mummy and arrive a little bit late (ten days to be precise!) - I didn't quite believe I was in labour at first but her daddy managed to convince me to drag myself out of bed at 3am and get on our way to the hospital... after a lovely long bath and a dip in the birthing pool, we were all feeling a little tired, but L finally arrived... all seemed well at first, but after a few moments she was whisked away as she wasn't responding well to her new surroundings... it was heartbreaking at the time for me and her daddy, but we had all of the best doctors and midwives around us and L was getting the best care possible. Off she went with them to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) where she was placed into an incubator and taken care of by the best professionals around, knowledgable yet friendly and caring, we couldn't have wished for better people looking after our brand new bundle of joy in her time of need, we couldn't thank them enough for all of their hard work in getting our daughter better and back with us to take care of.

Nine months later and L is full of energy and can't wait to get crawling and walking! We recently saw a leaflet for the buggy push and thought it would be one small way to help repay the great help we received whilst in Jessops Hospital for the first week of L’s life.

Please support us in helping their continuing excellent work by giving us a quick sponsor, however little or large, it will help. If you haven't needed the staff there at Jessops, then chances are you will know someone who has, and this is our little way of saying a big thank you to them.

I'll stop rambling on now and let you read the usual stuff:
