In 2007 we were told that Waltham Forest College pool was going to be closed. Four years later, thanks to your support, it a great example of what people power can achieve.  Not only is it still there, but with the support of the College, it is being run by community groups for the benefit of the community. 

 

All this is thanks to you.  And we need your continued support to meet the challenges ahead. We have committed to paying the pool’s £60,000 a year energy bill* and although this will eventually be covered from pool hire charges it will take a while to get pool usage up to the point that we can cover our costs. In the interim can you help us to cover our £5,000 monthly bill!

 

* For those energy conscious folks you will be glad to know that we are also working on getting the energy bill down with a pool cover, more efficient air treatment, better windows etc.
