Story
Following the very sad loss of Mick “Micky Boy” Fennell on the
29th May – we are arranging a day to celebrate and honour Mick and
raise money for Myton at the same time!
Micky Boy started volunteering for Myton in 2007 and very quickly became one of the Fundraising Team and part of the Myton family! From producing signs, stuffing envelopes, serving refreshments, marshalling at all of the events, running tombola’s, dressing up in various outfits and characters, cheering people on and encouraging them and basically doing everything else in between, he was the rock of the team and we all loved him dearly.
He had the biggest heart and the most positive outlook on life and always had a huge smile on his face. He worked tirelessly to ensure as much money was raised for Myton as possible and was our biggest champion and spread the Myton message wherever he went. Oh and he kept us all in check too!
Micky Boy touched so many people’s lives and once you met him was never forgotten! He was a pillar of the community and a friend to everyone.
So on Sunday 22nd August – his family, friends and everyone who knew him are coming together to celebrate this amazing man’s life.
There will be a 3 mile Walk starting and ending at Warwick Myton Hospice and everyone will head off together at 10.30am – this will be followed up with a picnic in the grounds of Warwick Myton from 12.30pm which will also feature cakes to enjoy and games to have a go on. Everyone is welcome.
We want to honour Mick in the best way possible by having fun, sharing memories and raising as much money as possible in his memory!
So we hope people will get sponsored or make a donation and most
importantly, all come together to celebrate the life of a total gentleman and a hero to many of us ❤.
